Ella Wasserman's Individual Piano Lessons- Saturdays: Ages 6+Art, Theater, Music & Creativity**The fee is for a block of four 30-minute lessons. Explore - The Museum of Russian ArtLifelong LearningJoin Maria Cassidy our community ed tour guide for a guided tour of the Museum of Russian Art. Your tour begins at 11am and usually lasts around from 30 to 45 minutes. Please arrive a few minutes early. The cost includes the entrance fee as well as the guided tour with the Museum staff. Maria, who hails from Russia, will be available after the official tour to answer questions, revisit any paintings you might want to discuss, and provide more context. We removed the lunch portion of the event due to logistical issues. If you wish to gather afterwards for lunch at Wise Acre Eatery you may. The Museum of Russian Art in Minneapolis is located at 5500 Stevens Ave, MPLS 55419 at the corner of Diamond Lake Road and 35W. Explore the World with June GosslerLifelong LearningExplore the World with June Gossler: June Gossler has had the opportunity to visit many “faraway places with strange sounding names," thanks to her son's career in the Foreign Service. She has visited Uzbekistan twice, once in 2002 and again in 2022. She had the opportunity to explore Armenia while her son was stationed there as a diplomat at the American Embassy. ________________________________________________________________________________ Unique Uzbekistan: Choose one - Tues. Feb. 3, 7:00-8:00 OR Thurs. Feb. 5, 7:00-8:00pm Join June as you travel along the Silk Road and visit the ancient cities of Uzbekistan. We’ll begin and end in Tashkent, the capital city, that has reinvented itself after a century of Soviet occupation. Next stop will be Samarkand, a city of mosques and madrassa, built in the 15th century by Temur Amir, 14th Century conqueror and modern-day hero of the Uzbeks. Then, we’ll join the throngs of holiday-goers for the Goldbroidery Festival in the timeless city of Bukhara to enjoy song, dance, and shopping for treasures. Ancient Armenia: Choose one - Tues. Give Back & Grow on The Farm at YMCA Camp St. CroixExpand Your World & EnrichmentGive Back & Grow is a service learning field trip experience hosted on The Farm at YMCA Camp St. Croix. Students will get to experience the joy of giving back and making a difference for local children, families, and communities through two main activities: Farm Service Learning: Learn about and help with farm chores. Scavenger Hunt: Participate in a camp-wide scavenger hunt to learn about ecological concepts and practice team building in a safe, fun, and inclusive environment. This is a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, learn about farming, volunteer, and have fun with friends while making a real difference. Students can count this field trip experience as volunteer hours toward the Edina Service Stars program. Please Note: Lunch is not provided, so participants must bring their own bag lunch.
