Build and Code with LEGOS: Gr. 2-5STEMDuring each lesson, students will build with LEGOs and create coding sequences for programming their little LEGO robots, then brainstorm and develop creative solutions to improve their designs. Caregiver Connect at the ELFCECFE Parent EducationTwos, threes, fours, and fives, oh my! Welcome to the ‘village’ at the ELFC. In this informal caregiver-only group, you’ll get a chance to get to know other ELFC caregivers as you discuss topics relevant to toddlers and preschoolers. These bimonthly sessions will prioritize organic caregiver connection and conversation (like Joys & Concerns); our licensed parent educator will facilitate the group, and provide evidence-based resources/materials as topics and questions emerge. We know how busy this stage of life can get, so we’d love if you can join us regularly, but we also welcome those who can only attend occasionally. Starting SoonCoaster Tile - Glass Mosaic DiscoveryLifelong LearningIn this introductory mosaic tile class, students will learn how to design a tile by using colorful glass to create a pattern. Participants will learn how to cut pieces of glass with nippers, adhere the pieces of glass into their pattern, and add grout around the glass. Our instructors will explain the safety, equipment, and tools that glass artists use everyday to create their art. Projects will be finished tiles that can be used for display, decoration, or be used as coasters. Projects will be finished by the end of class and can be taken home by students. Campers team up to solve enchanted puzzles, crack secret codes, and build clever contraptions to escape from daily magical scenarios.
