Meet Your Instructor: Daniela Jimenez Perez

Daniela is a Minneapolis-based artist, educator, and architectural professional dedicated to the transformative power of creativity. As a native Spanish speaker and the founder of Pink Giraffe MX, she designs bilingual, community-engaged art workshops that prioritize emotional well-being, connection, and self-discovery.

With a background in Architecture, Daniela brings a unique perspective to her teaching, emphasizing spatial awareness, materiality, and human-centered design. She believes that creativity is a "superpower"—a vital muscle that, when practiced regularly, empowers children to explore solutions from different angles and better understand the world around them.

Daniela’s professional philosophy is rooted in making art accessible and low-pressure, focusing on the process of creation rather than just the final result. Through her course, "Creative Thinking in a Bilingual Environment," she invites students to strengthen their bilingual skills while engaging in hands-on projects that foster calm, confidence, and community.
