You'll increase your flexibility and have lots of fun! Beginning divers with little or no previous instruction are welcome. During this class, divers will learn the fundamentals of diving including: front approach with hurdle, front dive, back press, back dive, inward dive, front somersault. Often divers will take this class more than one time to achieve proficiency in the skills expected in Intermediate Diving. When the diver is ready to move to Intermediate, coaches will move them up even during the middle of a session. Learn to Fish at Lake Normandale: Gr. 4-9Sports, Health & FitnessGet ready for a crash course of fishing in Minnesota with plenty of hands-on experience! In this class we will be learning all about fishing laws, etiquette, species, knots, pole/reel setup, casting, bait, and targeting certain fish. We will then practice our new skills while we're at the lake. That's correct... I said at the lake! This class will take place at South View Middle School the first day, but the following days will all take place at Lake Normandale in Bloomington. This lake is roughly 3 miles away, and is known to be great for sunfish, bass, pike, and carp fishing. No supplies, previous knowledge, or fishing licenses required. Please have your child bring: Sunscreen, a water bottle, a nut free snack, and a hat (optional). The instructor will provide: The poles, tackle, and bait. This is a beginner course designed to teach your children how to set up their own poles, and fish without assistance moving forward. Join us for some outdoor fun as we connect with nature, and discover what it takes to fish Minnesota -This class ends at 12:30pm and takes place off site Tuesday-Thursday. It brings Unified students together in a fun, welcoming environment where everyone belongs and can have fun together! Through crafts, games, and interactive group experiences, students continue to build meaningful friendships and lasting connections with friends from school. Led by student leaders, the three-hour program promotes inclusion, teamwork, and respect. High school students who were in grades 9-12 during the 2025-2026 school year are invited to participate! Edina Community Ed “Unified” camps blend students with special needs and students who are more typically developing to explore art, theater, fitness and more. Abbe is a seasoned teacher who has taught well over 1,000 students the tips and strategies that make Mah Jongg so special. No one else has the emotional and intellectual connection to the Mah Jongg game that she has. Playtime Beyond Beginners is a fun morning or evening of Mah Jongg. Are you ready? We are gathering players for an easy “meet up” of casual Mahj play with the option of getting some additional coaching from instructor, Abbe Blacker, who will be on hand to help make strategic, winning suggestions to you during the games. Marvelous MacaronsLifelong LearningMarvelous Macarons NEW to Edina! Nancy Burgeson is sharing her Marvelous Macarons with our adult learners. They are beautiful and so fun to make! Your instructor will show you some simple tricks to make the process easy. We will make three different kinds: lovely blueberry, lemon, and pink, cherry or strawberry. There will also be some chocolate macarons for you to sample. Students will bake and assemble one recipe from start to finish, as well as decorate and assemble the other two recipes.
