Part workshop, part presentation, these seminars are designed to offer support and solidarity while sharing evidence-based information to broaden your parenting skill set. Tantrums and outbursts can be typical parts of early childhood, but can still leave parents and children feeling stressed or unmoored. This seminar will introduce evidence-based approaches for coaching your young child’s emotions before, during, and after a meltdown, tips for regulating yourself in the moment, and strategies for ‘going upstream’ to recognize meltdown potential.

We’ll explore the biological basis for co-regulation, developmentally appropriate expectations for emotion management, and strategies for identifying and supporting dysregulation in our children.

During your Flameworking Glass Discovery experience, you will work one-on-one with an experienced instructor to create 1-3 flameworked glass marbles on the torch! Each student will get their own workstation equipped with a Flameworking torch and all the tools and colors needed to create your unique glass beads. An experienced instructor will lead with a demonstration and guide individuals through the process. Participants will then spend the remainder of the time melting colored glass rods using a tabletop torch and shape them into marbles using tools, heat, and gravity. This class is perfect for beginners who would like to try their hands at Flameworking glass. This Glass Discovery experience uses 33 COE glass rods (borosilicate). 3 hours in duration. No experience required and all materials are provided. Class Size: Strictly limited to 4 individuals per session. Due to safety reasons no additional non-participating spectators or guests may join you for your experience, since space and seating is limited. Due to the size of the Flameworking table/studio, large groups unfortunately cannot be accommodated. For individuals who need accommodations or have caretakers, reach out to us in advance so we can advise on how to best prepare for your time at the studio and modify our space if needed to ensure a seamless experience! Project Pickup: Due to hot glass needing to be cooled at a slow rate over at least 12 hours, participants will not be able to leave with their projects the day-of. Completed pieces will be ready for pickup within 7 days following your reservation. Shipping can be arranged the day of your reservation with the front desk staff for a fee. Age Requirements: Minors ages 9-13 are allowed to participate with a parent/guardian who has also purchased a seat in the same class. (Our studio space cannot accommodate additional non-participating spectators, and youth under the age of 14 cannot attend alone for safety reasons.) An all-level Mat Pilates class that is a full-body, low-impact workout that will make your muscles long and lean. Designed to help you live your best life, this class focuses on injury prevention, pain reduction, and working smart. In true Pilates style, it helps students create balance between smaller, underused muscles and the bigger muscles by learning to relax the overused, larger muscles and engage the smaller muscles. It also teaches the how and why of the exercises, body awareness, body mechanics, and efficiency in motion. This is mainly a strength-building class with some stretching. This is a hybrid class so you can attend in person, join online via Zoom, or a combination of both! 14+ may attend alone.
