Cooking with Sanaa - Intergenerational
Join Sanaa Hersi from the "Know Your Neighbor" project. Sanaa started "Know Your Neighbor" because she wanted to "make the uncomfortable comforable". She has a passion for community building and cooking. You will learn how to make typical Somali Sambusas. After you've chopped, diced, mixed, and tasted delicious food from Somalia and China Sanaa will invite you to challenge yourself. After the first cooking class your challenge will be to take your "Know Your Neighbor" skills into your everyday life. Chat with 4 people you've never met before the second class and you'll be on your way to making our community stronger. Sign up with a neighbor, a friend, a teen, or anyone else you want to share this one of a kind experience with. Fees are "pay as you can based". The standard and recommended fee for the two class series is $75 but you may pay what you are able. This is the first of two "Cooking with Sanaa from "Know Your Neighbor" classes this fall. You can register for the other oner here: Link to register for Cooking with Sanaa 209-1
14 years and older may attend with an adult. Both adult and child must register and pay.
