Savor 3-Course Classic Indian Meal - Intergenerational
Join us for a hands-on culinary experience that brings the comfort and joy of a traditional Indian meal to your own kitchen. In this class, you'll learn to prepare a satisfying three-course menu filled with bold flavors, vibrant colors, and wholesome ingredients—perfect for sharing with family or friends. We’ll guide you through each dish step by step:
- Vegetable Cutlets with Green Chutney: Crispy, golden patties made with mashed vegetables and warming spices, served with a zesty herb chutney.
- Puri with Potato & Vegetable Curry – Puffy, deep-fried breads paired with a hearty and comforting curry full of potatoes, peas, and aromatic masalas.
- Shrikhand – A sweet, creamy yogurt dessert infused with cardamom and saffron and topped with nuts for a refreshing finish.
This class will take place in our Family and Consumer Science classroom at Southview Middle School. You will be working at kitchen stations preparing your own dishes in small groups.
Ages 12+ are welcome to join in the cooking fun with an adult learner.

Registration for all class sessions closes at 4pm the day before the start date.

Riku and Namrata Savor
Namrata and Riku are lifelong home cooks with a love for bold flavors, traditional techniques, and nourishing meals. Their culinary journey began in their family kitchens, where they learned time-honored recipes passed down through generations. Over the years, they’ve explored a wide range of global and fusion cuisines.
Their classes are designed to be approachable and inspiring. They bring a warm, encouraging energy to the kitchen—offering classes that are welcoming to cooks of all levels. Their teaching draws from Indian culinary roots while celebrating the diversity of plant-forward cooking from around the world.
Through Savor, Namrata and Riku aim to inspire a shift toward more conscious, sustainable eating—offering flavorful, approachable meals that are good for your health and better for the planet.
