Our woodshop is well-equipped with all the major power equipment and hand tools you are likely to need to complete your projects as well as a finishing room for painting, varnishing or oiling. The Monday through Friday morning session Open Shop has a long tradition of volunteer monitors and mandatory breaks. This is not optional: if you register for M-F Open Shop, expect to monitor. And expect to take a 10am coffee and treat break! Afternoon and evening/weekend Open Shop registrants have paid staff monitors and are not expected to volunteer nor are breaks mandatory. This is reflected in a higher price-per-session so we are able to compensate our staff monitors appropriately. We have moved to a quarterly calendar to allow participants to easily take a quarter off if they are traveling or unable to commit to the previous longer season length. This also allows us to naturally build in 4 skill building weeks throughout the year. **PLEASE NOTE: We encourage you to attend the first day of your open Shop session. This is in order to meet one another and confirm that participants are up to date with all our woodshop expectations, protocols, and monitor roles.
