Engineering & STEAM Club: Gr. K-2STEMIt’s time for EXTRA FUN with exciting and creative engineering and STEAM projects! Kids will get hands on into exciting engineering adventures, experiment with cool science concepts, and tackle fun design challenges that spark their imagination. Every session features a new mix of projects and activities from various STEM fields. Along the way, kids will build confidence while developing problem-solving, teamwork, and critical thinking skills. A few of the projects will include: Aerospace Engineering The Pocket-Change Plane: Explore aerodynamics as you engineer a flying machine and fine-tune its center of gravity for the perfect flight. Space Engineering Space Bound!: Discover the surprising power of vortexes as you launch a rocket skyward. Mechanical Engineering The Dragon that Twists: Uncover the power of levers and mechanical advantage in this twisting engineering challenge. Civil Engineering The Sky-High Thrill: Defy gravity and put your civil engineering hat on as you design and build a towering structure that reaches for the sky. Mechanical Engineering Force-Field Roadster: Build a futuristic car propelled by mysterious invisible forces. STEAM Holiday Makers Lab: Ornaments: Gr. K-4STEMHAVE A BLAST as you get into the holiday spirit! Design and build festive creations with a STEAM twist! In this hands-on makers lab, you’ll explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math while creating fun, creative projects that make wonderful ornaments and/or holiday gifts. As you learn about STEM concepts through exciting activities, you will build super fun, awesomely giftable projects, including: LED Light-Up Holiday Card: Campers will discover the basics of electricity while designing a magical card to gift to someone special. Flameless Luminary Ornament: Experiment with light and design to craft a beautiful glowing luminary ornament using safe, flameless lights—perfect for brightening up holiday decorations. Holiday Ornament using LEGO® Challenge: Put your engineering skills to the test by creating an exciting holiday ornament using LEGO® bricks! *Projects shown on image for illustrative purposes only.
