Intro to Fly Tying with Scott Harness - intergenerationalLifelong LearningLearn the basic foundational techniques used in the art of tying a fly. Personal, detailed instruction from master fly fisherman and fly-tier Scott Harness. You will learn the how and why concerning tools, materials, and hook selection. Scott will teach you what the flies represent to fish. You will tie a minimum of 3 flies that will catch fish! Youth ages 12 and up may attend this class with an accompanying adult participant. Intro to Fly Fishing on the Stream with Scott HarnessLifelong LearningLive 5 hour fly fishing class on the trout stream. Includes one hour introduction to everything fly fishing! We will discuss gear, flies, rigging and knots followed by fly casting lessons both on dry ground and on the river. Next, we put on waders and boots and and go fishing for trout under the watchful eye of master guide and instructor Scott Harness. We will be fishing on the Rush River or the Kinnickinnic River in western Wisconsin which is a 1.25 - 1.5 hours from Mpls. For reference it’s the River Falls area. The location may vary slightly based on the river conditions.
