Copper Foil Stained Glass 101 - IntergenerationalLifelong LearningYou may have wanted to learn how to do stained glass art for a long time but didn't want to invest in expensive materials and tools. Or maybe you wanted to take a class but were deterred by the large class sizes where you feel rushed. You will learn how to make, cut, and use patterns, cut and grind glass, tape glass with copper foil, solder glass, finish the edges with a zinc border, and add rings for hanging. He will also discuss how to use patina and polish to finish the panel. John has been designing, creating, repairing, and restoring antique glass windows for over 25 years. You must have sufficient arm and hand strength to cut and break glass. Bring your own safety glasses/goggles. All tools, supplies, and materials are supplied and each student takes home a small panel. Safety glasses must be brought and used while cutting and grinding glass.
