You may have wanted to learn how to do stained glass art for a long time but didn't want to invest in expensive materials and tools. Or maybe you wanted to take a class but were deterred by the large class sizes where you feel rushed. Join John Hanson for this Copper Foil Stained Glass class to learn the art of copper foil in a small class setting where you can work at your own pace. Glass shops charge much higher rates for similar classes. You will learn how to make, cut, and use patterns, cut and grind glass, tape glass with copper foil, solder glass, finish the edges with a zinc border, and add rings for hanging. He will also discuss how to use patina and polish to finish the panel. John has been designing, creating, repairing, and restoring antique glass windows for over 25 years. You must have sufficient arm and hand strength to cut and break glass. Bring your own safety glasses/goggles. All tools, supplies, and materials are supplied and each student takes home a small panel. Safety glasses must be brought and used while cutting and grinding glass. Age 12-16 must be accompanied by an adult. Come and join the beginning of a new-to-Edina program focusing on the development of percussionists/drummers through the thrilling and enjoyable medium of bucket drums. This introduction to percussion and performance class is great for learning the basics of rhythms, rudimentary drumming, reading music and ensemble performance. This class is perfect for all experience levels, whether your student is picking up sticks for the first time or wanting to continue their learning and performing as a drummer. At the end of the session our ensemble will perform at an all school assembly to showcase what they’ve learned. DASH Sports Summer Athleticism camps provide participants with an overall athleticism building camp experience including speed training, agility, endurance, body control/balance, quickness, strength, power, and jumping. Camp consists of many different types of physical activities, drills, and games, all tailored specifically to enhance overall athletic performance. All participants will be evaluated and timed on the first and last day of camp on several athletic tests. Campers should wear sunscreen and bring a water bottle, snack, and wear athletic clothing and shoes.  Print Catalog Discrepancy: The print catalog incorrectly listed the price of this class as $169. Dash Sports baseball camps provide players with a well-rounded experience in a fun environment. Key elements of throwing, fielding/catching, batting, and baserunning will be taught and practiced, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’. Camp ends with a scrimmage the final day. Athletes should bring a water bottle and a baseball glove (spikes and bats are optional). Baseballs and bats are provided.
