Kelle's Private Voice or Piano Lessons: Age 7+
**Registration price is for four 30-minute lessons. Please reach out to the instructor (walstead5@msn.com) to gage open availability prior to registering for class. If there is times and dates that work for you after talking with the instructor, please register. You will work one on one with an experienced vocal coach and piano teacher who has taught for over 30 years. Whether you’re new to music or have taken lessons in the past, together you will design a plan that will build from the ground up or off your current musical knowledge with engaging and fun techniques. This course will address basic skills, music theory and musicality that will allow you to progress toward your musical goals and lifelong enjoyment of music. Purchase of books recommended by your teacher will be required for lessons based on individual needs. -
Mikkonen Music Lessons: Gr. 1-12
Thirty-minute music lessons in piano, guitar and ukulele are offered after school through Mikkonen Music. Lessons run continuously throughout the school year for students in grades 1-12 and meet once a week for 8-week sessions. Countryside Choir: Gr. 3-5
Come sing with the Countryside Choir! Under the direction of Mrs. Prowell, students will explore the joy of music, build friendships, and have fun through engaging songs and activities. Weekly rehearsals will lead up to a final concert performance, and singers will also get to participate in the 2nd annual All-District “Sing Together” Choral Festival! Important Dates: All Edina Community Ed choirs will be part of the 2nd Annual "sing Together" choir festival at the high school on Thursday, November 5 but the time is TBD. LIMITED AVAILABILITY The fee covers a block of EIGHT 30-minute private piano lessons. **Please reach out to the instructor (ella255@comcast.net) to gage open availability prior to registering for class. If there is times and dates that work for you after talking with the instructor, please register. Individual piano lessons are offered by experienced instructor Ella Wasserman. We meet once a week for 30 minutes. Each student's program is determined based on individual needs. We will work on acquiring piano techniques, music reading, growing the repertoire, and performance skills. To continue lessons throughout the school year, families should re-register and submit payment before the start of each new block of lessons. Recitals are offered twice a year. -
Creek Valley Choir: Gr. 3-5
Join Creek Valley music teacher, Marin Schmid, to sing varied repertoire, develop singing technique, and have fun in a community of 3rd-5th graders. We will perform in a concert at the end of the session and have optional engagements to sing the National Anthem at sporting events in the Twin Cities. The Edina Enquirer Creative Journalism Class Extra! Extra! Read all about it. The Edina Enquirer is being published and I need your child to create it. Your child will create their own tabloid newspaper, full of their own silly articles and pictures from all around the world, sports, entertainment, nationally or locally while tapping into their imagination and creativity. They will learn valuable typing and writing skills and creative blocks as they grow older. I will print out their newspaper to take home at the end of these sessions.
