Screenagers: Generation AI | Film Screening and Community Conversation

Screenagers: Generation AI examines how artificial intelligence has rapidly entered the lives of young people and what it means for their relationships, learning, and wellbeing.
Just a few years ago, AI in kids' lives barely existed. Today, many are turning to chatbots for advice, friendship, and emotional support. Others use AI to write essays, solve homework, and shape their social lives. Weaving together candid stories, cutting-edge science, and honest insights from adults and youth, the film confronts AI's risks while offering a path forward for young people's social, academic, and emotional well-being. According to its producers, the film is suitable for students grades 6 and higher as well as adults.
Following the screening, Parent Educator Sarah Hardy will facilitate a conversation and share information and resources to help you have meaningful conversations about AI with the young people in your life.
