Savor Magical Millets - Intergenerational
Discover the power of millets—ancient grains that are making a modern comeback! In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to incorporate a variety of millets into everyday cooking through flavorful, nourishing and easy to make Indian recipes.
Millets are naturally gluten-free, rich in fiber, and packed with essential minerals like iron, calcium, and magnesium. They are known to support digestion, provide sustained energy, and offer a wholesome alternative to refined grains—making them a valuable addition to a balanced, plant-forward diet.
Together, we’ll prepare a delicious lineup of dishes: Ragi Chilla, a savory, vegetable-studded finger millet crepe that’s perfect for a healthy breakfast; Jowar Upma, a hearty and satisfying dish made with whole grain sorghum and seasonal vegetables; Bajra Khichdi, a traditional Rajasthani comfort meal combining pearl millet, moong dal, vegetables, and warming spices; and Barnyard Millet Kheer, a creamy, aromatic dessert made with coconut milk and cardamom for a perfectly sweet finish.
