Intro to Woodworking: Make & Take a Rustic Wood Jack O Lantern - Intergenerational
Make your own rustic wooden jack o'lantern and get an introduction to woodworking. With assistance of an instructor, you will use the miter saw and table saw to cut the pieces and the jig saw or scroll saw to cut out the jack o' lantern face. You can refine the face with a rasp and sand paper and then assemble the box with wood glue and a nail gun or brad nails. We will leave an opening in the back to insert a battery-operated candle. Finally you will use an orbital sander to smooth out your entire box
Students ages 16+ are welcome to attend with an adult. Both adult and child must register and pay.
No prior woodworking experience is required but you are welcome to come if you are experienced. All matrials included in the price of the class.
