Are you hoping to better connect with your child’s French immersion experience at Normandale or simply dreaming of speaking French with confidence for travel or everyday life?

Join Roxanne May, a French immersion educator at Normandale Elementary with over 13 years of experience, a master’s degree in literacy education, and a deep personal connection to the language as a French speaker, for a unique virtual class taught live from France.

This course is designed to mirror the immersive, communication-based approach used in elementary French immersion programs, helping you experience what it feels like to learn through the language, not just about it.

Rather than focusing heavily on grammar, you’ll build confidence speaking and understanding French in real-life situations, from ordering at a café to navigating everyday interactions. Classes are conducted primarily in French, with supportive guidance in English when needed, creating an engaging and accessible immersion experience for beginners.

Perfect for beginners or those with some prior exposure, this class emphasizes practical conversation, cultural insight, and building confidence in a supportive environment.
