Athletes will spend roughly 1.5 hours learning and practicing each sport per day. Key sports skills will be taught and practiced in all 3 sports including: dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, and more! Disc Golf: Gr. 6-8Sports, Health & FitnessIn this class, kids will learn the basics of disc golf. We will practice throwing, putting, scoring, and course etiquette while building accuracy, strategy, and teamwork. Perfect for beginners who want to get outside and discover a new sport! On our last day of class (Thursday) we will be having an alternate drop off/pick up at Rosland Park (4300 W 66th St, Edina, MN 55435). We will be playing on the 9-hole disc golf course at the park for the last day of class! It will be a fun opportunity to implement some of the skills we will be practicing in the prior classes. Girls' Diving Camp: Gr. 9-12Sports, Health & Fitness***Prerequisites: Must be confident in deep water, and have a willingness to try new things.*** This camp is designed for high school girls’ divers. Middle school students who are interested in participating are welcome to inquire by emailing communityed@edinaschools.org. This fun, week-long camp takes place before the girls' high school season and is a great opportunity for divers to build skills and confidence ahead of high school tryouts. We’ll spend lots of time on board work, with each day focused on a different diving category.
